This one was a challenge because of all the changes it has in the original Sufi song. The original the music follows the 7 part ritual of the Whirling Dervishes Sufi journey. In 2008, Zeb & I were really into music of the Middle East & Turkey, afro-beat (in the Tony Allen drum inspired style), as well as cosmic dub with heavy bass & delay (from the Organic Grooves & TOTH parties we played at). We would test songs like this with a cornucopia of sounds mashed up into journey on the dance-floor down at XVI or CBGB Gallery basement. I remember how fluid & easy it was to work with Zeb- he's a true master of his craft & would teach me some tricks on Reason & Logic along the way. This is our remix of the Whirling Dervishes journey.
